In what country are these wheels manufactured? Avant Garde doesn't say on their web site. Usually, if they don't say, then things are being sourced from the far east...

Hi Golan,

I've emailed you two days ago concerning warranty on my recently purchased Avant Garde Ruger Mesh wheels.

Can you please get back to me?

Thanks - Cameron

Nice looking wheels, but at these prices these are going to be made in China unless I miss my guess. And that opens up questions, of course. I bought a set of Chinese-made wheels about 18 months ago (different brand) that looked really nice, and when I gave them to my installer (who is a personal friend of mine) he brought them back to me and said "I did the best I can, but these won't fully balance up, they're not the best wheels".

We had a track weekend coming up and I push my car pretty hard as an Instructor - and had this little gremlin in the back of my mind saying "If one of these wheels snaps and brakes, you're going to be in a world of hurt". I didn't really get comfortable with them and sold them off after the balancing issue, and bought a set of HRE's at 3x the price. My buddy who also installed them said they were the HRE's were best wheels he's ever mounted up and required a minimum of work to balance.

Like most things in life - you usually get what you pay for. Choose wisely.

Golan or the gang at Need 4 Speed,

You were logged on yesterday and still haven't answered this thread or replied to my email inquiry regarding my wheels that are now flaking...

Seriously?

Gentlemen,

I can understand your concern over the quality of these wheels but I can guarantee the integrity of these wheels. We have sold 100s of sets without any issues. There are many brands made overseas that are at the same price point and cheaper which we will not sell because of quality concerns. Quality and safety is definitely a top priority when buying wheels and Avant Garde is a great quality wheel. Feel free to PM with any specific questions. Thanks
