Lightbulb please give me your input

Since my C2S purchase, 1 month ago, I feel like I now have the green light to start modding my car (shhhhh, my wife might be listening) . I am going to start with a rear wing. I like the overall look of the car in its factory trim. Nice power out of the box. I'm thinking about Techart rear wing. what do you guys/gals think?

Personally, I don't really like wings on anything except Turbos. As far as wings go, I think the Techart wing is a little too big for my taste. I'm sure many people like the wings, they're just not my cup o' tea. I'd start off with the front bumper/lip. Of course if you do the front bumper, you have to get new rims. And if you get new rims, you have to get it lowered. And if you get it lowered...awww criminy. Whatever you decide to do, you'll have fun .

i think without the side skirt & front lip the car will look weak with the wing. i see car as one package not in parts. that's the same reason i wasn't too crazy about the factory aerokit as well; the side profile of the car is just too weak & the wing is overpowering it. if u want to see it in person welcome to come by as i have the wing in stock.

thanks for the reply. I'm contemplating this wing because of the functional air intake on the sides of the wing. I do not want to add anything which is dead weight or purely for 'bling' factor. You are absolutely right, if I do get this wing, I'll have to justify my next purchase by getting an intake to go with better air flow, full exhaust system, super charger, etc. etc. I'll be sleeping in my garage next to my P car. Is that a bad thing????

Yeah this is where it always gets me fickled. First mods are the hardest for me. Popping that berry. I want it to be special . Maybe I should just forget about the aero and get the $5k full exhaust system which is about same as the wing after paint and what have you. Maybe more bang for the buck plus kick a$$ sound. I just did a full exhaust on my S4 and it sounds crazy. no droning and inside the car, its quiet. In the mornings when I go to work at 5:30 AM, my neighbors all raise their middle fingers at me to say I'm number 1.

Gotta do the whole kit. If you do the wing alone, the car will not look balanced.

The TA kit is bad ***. If I had 997S that would be the kit.

I agree. But the question is which exhaust systeme is better for 997S. I am totally confused. I was thinking to install Gemballa or FVD or just Cargraphic's mufflers but there are so many guys saying that all that extra hp is bs and the sound has nothing to do with the purity of PSE.

Last but not least i would not like to have problems with warning lights. I am a desperate husband...

zoltan, I'm thinking about FVD or PSE as well. I can't remember which but I saw a video and sound clip on one of the exhausts and it sounded really good. as far as power, I'm new to P cars but in my past experiences, header, down pipe, race cats and exhaust should net you some power gains, depending on how free flowing it is, I usually saw most gains on the upper spectrum of RPMs.
