Thinking about trading in '11 C4 for a Maserati Ghibli...
I'm surprised to see the Ghibli hasn't been brought up in this forum (at least no direct hits on search).
I love my '11 C4, but definitely can use some backseats for adults and infant. Anyone have experience with the Ghibli Q4 S?
Any insight would be great!
Thanks,
wolf

Ghibli Q4S is nice, pure italian exotic sound and handling as long as luxury comfort, I mean it's too hard to find a 5 seats all wheel drive car like it.
If budget ain't a problem, you can just keep your c4 an get one more Ghibli.

I hear maintenance costs are high on Maserati, check it out first.

Isn't there a Maserati forum somewhere? Many here love their 911's and might not be very sympathetic to your situation.
If you're even the least bit concerned about mpg, the Ghibli (or any Maserati) isn't the best choice. That aside, it's a nice, understated car, long on the luxury end and bit short on performance - and unlike your 911, it doesn't have a "Look at Me" complex. if you go in this direction, are patient, do a little searching and don't need a brand new car, Maserati's depreciate quite a bit up front. So, you could end up with a very nice used Quattroporte for the price of a new Ghibli. On the other hand, if you buy new and decide after a year that you really don't like it, you are going to take a pretty big hit. If you go into the Used market there are some lovely Aston Martins out there as well but they may cost you a bit more. Any way you choose, Maserati, Panamera, Aston, etc., it's a nice problem to have.
