Maybe for a daily driver the bypass would be too loud. I enjoy the sound though
"Shooked"? Is that a Canadian term eh?

It's double past tense- meaning it happened very long time ago, like in a previous life.

It's really too loud to drive it everyday, I can't even hear exhaust sounds but droneeeeeeee.
It hurts my ear and most likely waste my money.
So here is the question.
Anyone has experienced with fabspeed supercup exhaust system?
How does it sound compare to gundo hack?
I believe it should be one step back from muffler bypass, but is it still too loud?
Otherwise I may just throw my gundo muffler back on.
Thank you for your time!
Fister bypass. No drone, great sound, low cost can't go wrong with Fister. Just installed mine last week.

I used to have this hacked muffler, it was a little too quiet for me, but now I may put them back on again.

muffler bypass and 200 cell cats is a MONSTER combo - way too loud for any residential streets, will set off car alarms in parking garages, and get you bounced out of tracks or autocrosses (ask me how I know).

my wife used to say she could hear me coming from nearly 1 mile away when the bypass pipes were on.

if you want attention from your local police, this is a great way to go :-)

I've long thought it might be fun to build a dump pipe that is vacuum/electric controlled pipe check out this video and sound

Oct, what size bypass pipes did you have. Smaller size less sound bigger pipes up to 2 inches better sound.

Wonder if a true operable "cut-out" style bypass would be possible or even fit? Vacuum powered, completely by passed insane sound or back to mufflers with the flip of a switch?

There are 2 inches pipes on the muffler.
Now I am running with the straight pipe which means no mufflers.

With enough money all things are possible. Well, maybe not on Capital Hill.

I was thinking of adding these to my setup. Do you have a sound video?

White Rock- looking at your setup listed in your sig, I would keep the mufflers and ditch the 200 cell x-pipe. I recently installed the catless x-pipe and it just amplified the exhaust sound, which I think is what everyone is after- a slightly louder tone, yet I was still able to retain the same exhaust note. Keeping the muffler and just removing the cats allow you to still have a refined exhaust tone, instead of the raw drone sound of a complete muffler bypass.

I know there's been concern about loss of torque when doing a cat bypass, but I think the same will happen with a muffler bypass since both scenarios reduce back pressure. Plus, the torque loss wasn't that dramatic, especially with the cross-flow design of Fabspeed's x-pipe which helps maintain a bit of that back pressure. Good thing is there's a hp and tq gain in the higher RPM's.

If you're worried about emissions, the 200 cell cats aren't street legal either (at least in California), so the fine for running non-compliant cats vs. no cats at all would be the same.
