OCT is infamous around these parts
Hello everyone, how's going?
Today I finally put muffler bypass pipes on my 997.1 even almost everyone said it's too loud.
It's really too loud to drive it everyday, I can't even hear exhaust sounds but droneeeeeeee.
It hurts my ear and most likely waste my money.
So here is the question.
Anyone has experienced with fabspeed supercup exhaust system?
How does it sound compare to gundo hack?
I believe it should be one step back from muffler bypass, but is it still too loud?
Otherwise I may just throw my gundo muffler back on.
Thank you for your time!

Fabspeed supercups are like bypasses. Too much drone.

Hi, you have it on before?
It seems like it got two small mufflers connected by a U pipe, is it quieter than bypass pipe?

Full AWE system is nice. Had mine for 6 years, no excessive noise/drone. That is with mufflers and cats of course. They are there for a reason I guess.

way too loud with full bypasses I think. The best sound was a center replacement like ours with either the PSE sides or Gundo. Sounds like this and no drone:

I ran the supercups on my 997.1 with stock cats, drove around the block and took them off immediately. It was way too loud for my liking. I am currently running full fabspeed minus the headers and so far I can say my favorite sounding setup would have to be stock mufflers with cat delete. They bad thing was all the fumes.

I had the Fabspeed X-Pipe installed and from the moment I drove out of the garage it was horrible. Way too loud and I actually would get headaches as a result.

I brought the car back to the Porsche dealer to have it removed and to put the stock center muffler back on and guess what? The installation was not done correctly or the left side had vibrated off and I was basically driving around with no muffler.

They tightened everything properly and made sure everything was connected and the problem was solved. No drone at all - even with the PSE on.

Check the connections and with any luck you will find that you have the same issue.

At least it is worth a try!

Were you running X Pipe with cat or no cat? I ran it without cat and loved the sound. Once I go my X Pipe with cat, I didnt have a chance to try it with stock mufflers, but wish I could have.

Everything besides the X-Pipe (center muffler delete) was the PSE. I didn't modify anything else.

I put the bypass pipes on my car. Meh, theyre loud but I guess im desensitized to loud cars. My last car was a fully race exhaust setup Viper, it shooked my house when I started it in the garage.

Maybe for a daily driver the bypass would be too loud. I enjoy the sound though
