Does anyone know if it is possible to transfer/download a multi-stop Google Driving Maps from a computer into the PCAR Nav System? When programming mountain runs where there are only intersections, but not towns, the PCAR system sucks.... With Google Maps you can do Pin Drops in planing your route. Also would be great to provide electronic Google Maps to others in the caravan runs. My Nav System is a 2011 model. Suggestions or solutions?

 

The Porsche PCM NAV sucked so badly that I retrofitted an Alpine unit. No more frustrations, although it would be nice if the Alpine screen was polarized to cut back on the glare in direct sunlight.

 

I've seen a great mod where a guy removed the original nav screen and retrofitted an iPad mini in that space. Search Rennlist 997 forum and you'll find it.

 

I've put in an Alpine 927HD and I love it! Good Navi with traffic info/updates, blue tooth phone, Pandora, Sirius, iPod, back-up cam, etc.

 

I believe that the PCM is running QNX as its operating system.
So I'd say no dice
