Gear Engaged but car not moving!!!

hi, I have a customers 997 C4 GTS with 6MT. Cars clocked only 3000 miles. Last evening had a problem with it, i put the car in 1st gear or in any gear incl. reverse, car wont move at all. Clutch pedal seems to be fine as it comes back to its final position and i can change gears with ease like before. I am hinting at pressure plate or maybe changing complete clutch kit. Had a similar problem with it at 1800 miles and found out that flywheel had burned (all black). Installed a new lightweight single mass flywheel with the stock clutch, Seemed perfectly ok all this while and boom again the same has happened. Unfortunately i wasn't driving it and my customer is not too sure if he heard any noises, he is not able to explain properly. Haven't opened the transmission yet. i will next week, but in the meantime would like to know if any of you have had similar problem with the 6 speed manual???

It does seem odd that the clutch was okay while the flywheel was burnt. How does that happen? I would expect the clutch to be damaged as well. Did you see the car yourself the first time or is this just word-of-mouth from the owner?

I have to wonder if this is a customer-induced problem, as you probably are wondering too. I've done a lot of forum surfing in the last year and I've never seen this one. Maybe he's drag racing the car a lot and doesn't know how to launch? It only takes a few over-slipped launches for the clutch/flywheel to be destroyed.

yes i saw the car first myself. i believe the linkages should be ok, if it wasnt then shifting gears wouldnt be easy, as it is at this moment..But then i might be wrong. It is something that did cross my mind. Will be the first thing i check. Not necessary clutch would be damaged if flywheel is. I remember checking the clutch thoroughly last time when it happened. its very likely that he wouldnt be launching it properly. But for now the damage is done and my job is to fix it. Will check it once the car arrives at our workshop on tuesday and we shall discuss then. thanks.
