Porsche 997.1 carrera 4 supercharger

For all interested in having a supercharger installed I just wanted to recommend VF-Engineering. I purchased the kit from them for my 997.1 3.6L carrera 4 and had my local porsche dealer do the install. The total cost was around $11K including install and was well worth it.
Vf had not programmed my exact configuration before and as such to be sure everything was done correctly the owner of VF-Engineering, Nik flew all the way from California to Melbourne florida to custom tune the ECU on my car. The results were well worth it. The performance is greatly enhanced and the supercharger delivers power almost instantly at about 2000rpms so that you get steady power thruout the power curve.

PDK? before I would do anything like that on a PDK would check if it could handle the torque and HP bump.

Not sure if VF makes a kit for the 997.2's. , something to do with direct injection. You might want to check with them to see if possible or not.

Great to hear that you're enjoying the S/C. Did you have to contact Nik directly and flew him in to Florida? You tuned it on a Dyno or Durametric logging? If you don't mind sharing, what's the cost of him tuning? You can PM me if you're ok with that. Thanks.

Shouldn't a PDK car be able to handle MORE power than a MT car (not less) ?

Supercharger install price

Actually a little more than $11k to be exact, I paid 9700 for the kit plus 1700 to the dealer or 11,400 total out the door. The dealer sent the ECU to VF for programming which was part of the price. Nik ended up coming to FL to program because I believe he didn't have a specific program for that ECU configuration and there may have been an anomaly with my ECU. And no, they did not charge extra for that but, under normal circumstances they would have been able to program back in california and ship beck the ECU. Also, By the way, there was a guy who VF has setup as a dealer in south florida that would have done the install for 1400 but my car dealer gives a loaner car and picks up and delivers and gives great service so I was more comfortable with them doing the install.

I never new dealers do such big upgrades like a supercharger. Im guessing it has to be a very friendly dealer lol plus the labor seems so low i went into dealer just for a altornator cable change i got cracked over the head for 1,500
