I'm wondering if the experts here would agree with my proposed power cable routing for the V1 concealed display unit.

My goal is to have at around eye level while driving so I don't have to keep looking up at the V1 main unit itself.

I want to put the concealed display unit at the steering column, and I was thinking to route the cable to the SAVVY Module through the panel directly below the steering column (see pix).

My question is, is it safe to route foreign object in this space? Not sure if there are mechanism in this area that the cable will get caught and affect my steering while driving.

Thanks for the help.

Looks good, how did you conceal the power wire to the main unit? Looking to order a V1 this week after reviewing it against the new Passport Max for the last month.

Ran the power from headliner down the A-pillar to the fuse box area where I hid the wire, and plug the SAVVY into OBD.

Some members powered the V1 from dome light but I wasn't comfortable with splicing wires

+1 on the Savvy. Not for the easy plug in, but for the muting at low speed. I have mine set on 35 mph.

Been considering a concealed/remote display as well. I don't drive the car at night that much but I can see where it would get annoying as my V1 is mounted up high on the drivers side of the mirror. Now that I think about it, I don't know if I've ever noticed, the does the V1 display dim with the other interior lights??

It shouldn't be any problems. I had it where you do know.
