i have seen yellow, red, orange wheel trim stripes to match brake calibers or whatever...to me they looks fine on P car. However some think it's RICE.

What you all think?

i cant visualize it but the idea at first thought sounds ricey.

however, lets see some photos b4 passing judgement.

 

mine has no stripes...there are many pictures on Google Images.

 

I wanted to try it out for a long time but I couldn't find the red color version. They are stick-on so can be removed if I didn't like it, but I was also worried that it wouldn't stay on my plastic-dipped wheels. At the end I spray painted the strip on top of the wheels.

Whether is ricey really depends on the what else is being done and I think most black wheels NEED a strip to make them stand out IMO. A red strip on a 16" silver color rim on a green color Prius is ricey to me; while the orange color strip on black wheels on the orange car from the other "custom wide-body" thread will look pretty cool, again IMO.

My atlas grey C2S has black GT3 wheels, a bit on the black out side so thought about giving the wheels yellow stripe to match the PCCB. Currently it has GT3 nose, adding Misha GT3 rear bumper and Aerokit GT3 wing in next couple weeks.

RICE=NO NICE=YES, I have them on my black wheels, it gives it a bit contrast, without the stripes, it could look like black spare wheels for the winter.

 

Wow, I had no idea Suncoast had them. I think they look nice.

The Suncoast listing notes professional installation is required. Anyone know what's involved for the install?

Also, does anyone know why they don't recommend them for the GT3?

 

Vossen CV3's painted atlas grey w/yellow stripe.

 

Not for >2010 GT3 wheel b/c that's the centerlock rim and it doesn't have a face for the stripe to adhere.

 

I put yellow on OEM lobsters..
I have few other yellow accents going on onthe car ..
