What do i like with the gundo hack
Besides being what i think is the best mod for the bucks, the sound it makes is really mean. Throaty and angry. What i would like to say that i have not read a lot have mentioned is the way it sounds when you start the car. Man i tell you guys its a totally changed character. Whereas befor the only time my car sounded like a sports car was during the warm up stage after starting the car in the morning. Now everytime i start the car i know its a powerful car.
I took the mufflers out myself, printed high quality pics of the Gundo mufflers and then took that all to a Midas shop. The did the work, not really what I would call pretty welds but solid all the same. I took them home, painted the crossover pipes with VHT paint and put 'em back in...

Can someone please recommend a shop in CT or Mass. I want to bring my car to someone who has done the job before. Thank you.

I took mine to Lou's custom exhaust on rt 1. Same as Matt said, just print a picture and show it to the shop to show them what you want done. Any independent shop can do it. Just look up the closest Lou's or other. Grab the picture from a google search on gundo hack.
Has anyone done the Gundo Hack with a 997.2? I think I read somewhere that the Gundo doesn't have the same positive results that it does with a 997.1...meaning the sound increase is not there.
True, false?
Or am I better off just upgrading my exhaust?

I performed the Sharkwerks bypass pipe swap on my 2009 C4S and loved the sound but wanted more "grunt". I mailed a set of cans I ordered off of eBay to Darin Fister at FD Motorsports and did a swap with a set of Fistered mufflers. The sound is amazing from the moment you start it up in the morning and when you shift through the gears at about 3500 RPM and above.
Just a quick note, the 997.1 side mufflers with not fit on a 997.2. I learned that the hard way but Darin was very accomodating. Big shout out to Dan and Alex at Sharkwerks and Darin and the guys at FD Motorsports. I can't recommend this team enough, or this upgrade. It was definitely two of the best mods I have ever done, and I usually leave all of my cars bone stock.
I went from Lexus quiet, to just the right amount of sound to let me know what I am driving.

What I like best is that there is no drone at highway speeds.
