I'm ready to do the gundo hack on my car (don't know why I waited so long, about a year since I got my car) but anyways my only issue is I never heard how it sounds in person, only thru youtube videos, and I'm trying to decide if I should go with the 2.0'' or 1.75'' so I was wondering if anybody here that lives in Orange County, CA would mind letting me hear theirs so I can decide which one to go, since I have no idea if 1.75'' will be enough or 2.00'' is too loud..

I have a 997.2 c2s, manual, and I drive it everyday.

I just got off the phone with Chris Sterling, so I was considering either do 1.75'' or 2.00'' but he says I should at least do 2.00'' or even do 2.25'', since 1.75'' will not do anything to increasing sound.

any thoughts please? and again if anybody in OC would let me hear their gundo hack exhaust.

The Fister version uses 1.75" pipe. Others have done 2.00" pipe. I personally got the 1.75" and I can vouch that it DOES increase sound - why else would you even do the hack? I guess the key question is what is the difference between 1.75" and 2.00". And unfortunately I can't answer that question... If you want louder, it seems that it would be logical to go 2.00"

All I can say is I am totally happy with my Gundo hack. Would recommend it without reservation. I DD my car too. Just go do it!!

Sorry, don't live in LA anymore... Otherwise you could listen to mine... I did have one guy (another 997 driver) come up to me in a parking lot asking me what exhaust I had... because he wanted the same sound! Of course I referred him to the shop that did mine...

I did 2". Its the best 150 bucks I ever spend to do the GUNDO. Sounds AWESOME. JUST DO IT

I've been told Fister uses 1.75''....and I'm planning to do 2'' since Chris (Chris Sterling) tells me he wont do anything less than 2'' since it wont make any sound improvements to the stock exhaust so IDK :/

 

I guess size matters
