997.1 horn

I recently purchased a 2006 C4S from Porsche of Warwick (great people to deal with!). The car is flawless and I'm in love.

One question I have though is in regards to the horn. Its so high pitched and soft that I fear there might be something wrong with it. I have nothing to compare it to and its driving me crazy.

The closest thing I could liken it to would be to a bicycle horn (as seen in the video link below). Does anyone else's 997 have a "wimpy" horn? Is that what it's supposed to sound like? Please advise!

Your car actually has 2 horns. One when you slightly push it and the hole when you smash it down. The silly sounding one is the horn that sounds when you barely push it. I had to replace one before and I've heard its quite common for one to go out.

i'm pretty sure it'll need a replacement. kind of nutty how often they fail.
