So I managed to unlock the clamshell. I circled the issue on the picture, It's not sliding anymore on one side. It's moving perfectly on the other side. I am guessing the motor of this side is not working.
Any idea which part it would be?

I think it is as mine, that one wire rope is broken

You will need the whole unit 996 561 023 04, but before that get the unit in the middle and those two on the side out of the car and open it.

I bet you will se a broken wire on one side

You need to take the part in the middle with the blue potiontometer on it out (Where you make the emergency open)

In this unit the 2 wires come together and on both sides at the lid

I changed the driving mechanism and both sides are moving, so you were right a wire was broken. However, I have a calibration issue, when i press the button to open, it's only opening half and the top start going back, So something is not right. Any idea, maybe it was not sync between the new driving mechanism position and the blue motor position?

hey, I am presuming you already addressed this clamshell issue, I am working on a 2009 Carrera 911 with the same exact issue, my right side is stuck. how were you able to free it up to be able to replace the wire?

How were you able to free up the right side? did you do it manually and just force it open?
