Finally found the right 997

So after months of looking I finally found a car and drove it back from Atlanta to Cincinnati this weekend. 500 miles in pouring down rain and bumper to bumper traffic. Not the best drive, and then 10 miles from home a chunk of tire comes flying in front of the car and gets kicked up on the side skirt. It took some chunks out and cracked it. Ugg. At least it's an easy piece to replace.

Here's the details:
2009 C4S Cabrio - Carrera White with full black leather.
Adaptive sport seats with exterior painted backs and P crest.
Sport Chrono Plus
Stainless lighted door sills
Leather sun visors
Painted front air intakes and side skirts
PCM with Nav, BT and Bose
Self dimming mirrors and dynamic lights

Only thing it didn't come with on my list was SiriusXM but I have a NAV-TV kit coming today to fix that. And yes, the clear side markers are on the way too

First mods besides the 2 things above will be Fister cans and a painted center console. Trying to decide if I should do the door handle surrounds in white as well.

Congratulations on the car and a great looking color combination. There are a few other Cincinnati people on here.

Congratulations! And condolences at the same time. That happened to me shortly after buying my '08 C2S. Made me sick and cost a bundle to fix. But, the bumper looked good as new after the repair and paint.

LOL, yeah I hope so. It could have been worse, that's for sure. A side skirt is $259 + paint.

But I am very Sorry to say that your car may have been in a Accident.

I have seen some 997.2's for sale (2009-2012 911's) with a 997.1 steering wheel.

Yours is one of them.
In 2009+ they did NOT offer the steering wheel your car currently has in your 2009 C4S. That wheel was only offered in 2005-2008 for the 997.1, known as the "Sport Steering Wheel".

997.2 Steering wheels AND air bags are far more expensive than the easy to find and also relatively cheap 997.1 steering wheels.

I can see the dealership putting a .1 wheel on a .2 to save costs when fixing a crashed Porsche ..
Actually that is not completely accurate info. This steering wheel was offered on early 2009 builds. I already checked into this because I was looking at changing to a wheel with radio controls. This is the correct wheel for the car.

EDIT - Adding additional info. It appears that if you didn't order the multi-function wheel in 2009, the one in my picture is what you got. This changed for 2010+ and possibly for late 09 builds.

Clear corners ASAP! Best $40-45 you'll spend on the car.

Congrats! I just got back to Charleston, SC from Ohio with mine as you probably remember from my thread. Ironically it is in the shop now while I'm on a work trip to have the front bumper fixed. Took the front license plate bracket off at the dealer and found two additional holes from PO using too long of license plate screws. Marshall Goldman made good on it and cut me a check to cover the repair.

Your car looks fantastic...I was waiting for an "April Fools" after the steering wheel post

Good to hear you made it back! I feel your pain on the license plate damage. Every time I buy a car with a front bracket it seems there ALWAYS damage under it. Usually from someone running into something and leaving indents.
Glad MG is taking care of it!

since you got a cab I recommend you get the mod that let's you remotely open and close windows and top with your key, It's soon convinient, And every time you go to a parking lot and close you top as you're walking away everyone just stares. also the top operation speed goes from 30mph to 50

sorry bro, but the 2009's 997.2 still had the 997.1 triangle and sport steering wheels. similarly, the 2009 997.1 megzer turbo had the 997.1 triangle and sport steering wheels, 997.1 wide rear end but had the new 997.2 newer (black) pcm.

during the cross over years certain items are carried over.
