Fuchs Wheels
Fuchs Wheels
$1,900.00! These look promising. Anyone has these? Supposedly, wheels are made by the same company who made the original Fuchs wheels.

"Company who manufactures these also manufactures the original Fuchs wheels which are also available at around $5,400 (per set)"

Too good to be true probably means just that. I bought the Fuchs I have from my dealer for $5,000, including tires and mounting. The sales tax was extra. Some people have gotten great deals on Craigslist. Others have been screwed. I personally stay away from the site.
Yeah, reading the thread just turned me off from these guys. Just wanted the OP to have an informed decision to be safe
Scrambler8,
damn those wheels look nice. I haven't decided to go "old school" or something different but your choice clicks.

technically they describe them as Fuchs design which is code for replica. I see nothing wrong with it. Just like the avant garde replica.
Look at all the volk replica. Often labeled as te37 style or te37 design. It's all legit

There is nothing wrong with replicas, as long as they are described as such and are properly manufactured. (Trademark infringement is a different topic entirely.) For me, traveling 70+ mph it is important that the wheels on my vehicles meet OEM specifications. Maybe these do. Maybe they don't. I choose not to chance it.
Rob G - Thanks. I saw these wheels and liked them immediately. My 911 is a 2006, but the wheels make it look older IMO. Not everyone's cup of tea, but since I am "older" too, they work for me. I was visiting one of my sons yesterday and saw a 912 with early Fuchs wheels. They are certainly an older style of wheel.

there's nothing wrong with a replica, but there is something wrong with lying to people and saying they're made in the same factory.
The craigslist ad is a blatant lie. Why would the same factory that's making the original also make a low-cost one?
The Avant Garde Ruger Classics are a safer bet if you ask me. They're being sold officially by Avant Garde on amazon. Do a quick search - they're much cheaper than the WheelDynamics ones.
PS: no affiliation with either AG or WD - I'm just another guy saving up for some decent fuchs replicas

FYI, These are Hartmann wheels. Try googling the name and you'll see.
Similar to Avante Guard wheels, but a closer match to the Porsche Sport classic wheels, which are a copy of the Fuchs wheels.
Hartmann actually has a good reputation.
No affiliation, but I've done a lot of research on Fuchs style wheels.
