Cabrio window rattle

Hey guys my name is brandon. I work at a european shop and we have a window rattle on a 2006 997 carbrio that is kickin my ***.

heres some background info.

this car came in with a broken rf window regulator. i replaced the regulator, adjusted the window, and reset the windows.

this thing has come back for a window rattle...... 5 times. every time i remove the door panel readjust the window back up then take the customer for a ride to see if they are satisfied with the adjustment. they are satisfied with the initial adjustment. then we receive a call 2 days later sayin that its rattling again.

im lost and cant figure out why this window keeps coming out of adjustment and starts rattling.

help. im desperate and a good customer is becoming impatient.

Is the hardware coming loose? You don't say what you find (other than the rattle coming back) in your post. What adjustments do you have to do that are repetitive? If hardware is coming loose, do you use Loc-Tite when putting things back in order? If it isn't the hardware coming loose, try using fuzzy side Velcro as a cushion.

i apologize for the lack of information.

there is no hardware coming loose. when you remove the door panel there are two access holes that give you access to the nuts that hold the window in place on the regulator. these nuts can be loosened through the two access holes to make fine adjustments to the window.

now the adjustment nuts are not coming loose, nothing is coming loose. the window just works it way out of the initial adjusment every so slightly and causes a rattle. then i have to go back and loosin the nuts and readjust the window back up so it stops rattling. then two days later the window works its way down (like a mm) and starts rattling again.

I'm working blind, but it seems like the tension from the nuts isn't enough to keep the window in place and adjusted even when tightened. Maybe a shim might help.
