Long Term Review - PSS9/10 Bilstein
I have just done a search. However, for those with PSS9/PSS10, can you share your long term reviews?
My car is a C4S and is a daily driver (80% hwy/20% city). I will also be very grateful if someone can actually confirm that in regular mode (not Sports Mode), the C4S will NOT be jarring when hitting Los Angeles streets.
Lastly, are these being discontinued? They are now priced at around $2,800 (both PASM and non-PASM units) from their initial $4,400.00+ prices.
Thanks in advance.

You sound disappointed...
you may have 175 views but most of them are probably from people like me, looking for YOUR review on the coilovers. That's what the title of the thread suggests.

hahaha you are correct. fair enough. And no, I am not disappointed ---comment was a subtle "thread bump".
I tried to correct the title but never could figure it out. Let me try again tonight and research.
Im not sure about the PASM PSS9 or 10. I have had PSS9 on my 996 C4S for now 8 Years with over 150,000 KM on them. Daily Driver so Dry, Hot, Wet, Snow, Slush whatever my car is out Everyday on the Road. It is a Track ***** at least twice a Month and Toronto Streets
. My PSS9 are still like new.

wow for those prices amazing if they are dropping lower!!!

On the 997, with sports on, the car is jarring at slow speed with the factory struts/shocks. Is the 996 the same way?
What I am trying to avoid is spending $2,000.00+ on coilovers and the jarring becomes present all the time in regular mode.

Yep... that's why I came. Rep given for hitting the nail on the head.
I am running them on my 2011 C2 (PSS9 as my car does not have PASM,) and could not be happier.
Put 2k miles on the car before installing them so I know the stock ride. This is better in every way. Very comfortable cruising, not jarring, and so much more planted in all types of driving, curvies, freeway, city, etc. I have driven lower more aggressive set ups, as well as more mild, and feel like this is a great compromise.
The only 2 potential downfalls in my mind are:
1. I know that there are much better tracking set ups, but this is far from a $10k price tag.
2. Scrapping of the nose could be problematic if you are unfamiliar with driving a low car on "real" streets. Mine ended up 2.5" down from stock at final settings, with 6 on the Dampening Setting.
Sorry only pic I have right now.

There's actually a thread that I found before I posted this thread. He driver basically hated the PASM so he actually intentionally disabled the PASM.
Another poster also mentioned that the PSS9 was jarring in normal mode.
From what I understand, the PASM on the 997.2 is a lot better than on the 997.1. And actually I don't have any issues with the way it is from the factory. I just don't want the jarring on all the time.

Here is the thread. Pretty interesting.
And just to quote one of the thread contributors:
"....But you cannot compare standard PASM shocks with PSS10 Damptronics shocks. They are in a different league and the normal/sport mode worked really well with the PSS10. Significantly stiffer though, Damptronics normal mode felt like PASM sport mode. Not sure where the non-Damptronics are in stiffness, but probably depends on regular or club sport version."

Have had damptronics for 2 years. Great mod. I would reiterate all comments made to date. Had problems with thunk. Needed to add camber plates to fix.
Tried kw v3. Way too stiff for street. Rear spring rate is like #1000.
