OEM PCM 2.1 Head Unit from 2006 997, do I need a code?
Ok, so I've removed the original PCM 2.1 head unit from my Bose-equipped 2006 997 C4S Cab. I'm having a Pioneer NEX head unit installed with the MOST-HUR kit. It looks like PCM 2.1 head units can sell for close to $1000 on eBay, mine is in pristine condition, both cosmetically and technically.
My question is: am I supposed to have some kind of unlock/antitheft code? I have the original documentation and paperwork I received with the car (I'm the second owner), but couldn't find anything that seemed to be an activation or unlock code.
Wondering, and appreciative of any information on this topic in case anyone has experience with this. Thanks.

No, I just purchased the PCM 2.1 for a friend of mine who owns a Boxster and wanted to have that updated radio, I received it from a member on this forum with no I'll lock codes, just plug and play.
