82 mil Plenum and gt3 throttle body installed
I was lucky enough to get some time this weekend to spend some time out in the garage with my car. I had ordered the IPD competition 82 mil plenum and matching 82 mil gt3 throttle for my 05 carrera Cabriolet last week and was happily surprised and how great the customer service was from greg at IPD. he was very easy to communicate with called and return emails very quickly and was more than willing to help me with any questioned i had before and during install if i needed. Ipd shipped my parts out to me and i had them in about 4 days from California to my place up in canada. (he even saved me a few bucks on shipping!)
I found the install to go really smooth. the original throttle body unbolted really easy and the stock plenum came out with a bit of wiggling. I took a little extra time to do some clean up of intake manifold while i had the chance with plenum out and a little bit of engine clean up in the area while had the chance too.the install of the new plenum was the hardest part. had to get it into that tight spot without messing up the rubber couplings but i got it in after a lil bit of wiggling and a few swear words. new throttle body bolted right on no problem with the new bolts supplied from IPD.New 82 mil silicon hose went on with ease and i think looks really kool. overall went pretty good !! started the car up after i got a check engine light on my dash for about 10 seconds and then went away. i let the car idle for a few mins to warm up then turned the car off let sit for a couple mins then started it up again and took it out for test run. instantly i could hear difference in exhasut tone just pulling it out of garage and up driveway. i am lucky enough to live very close to 3 lane hwy where i was able to get on and give the car a stomp. Car sounded amazing ! especially @ 4000 rpm and up ! im not sure how long it takes for ecu to adjust but it seemed like right away my car felt different . very fat climb through my rpm ban in upper rpms. car seemed to be faster right away. and sounded like it had really come alive !! I can say i am one happy customer with this combo mod. seemed to really tie all my previous mods together. i have APR tuning to 92 0ctane, APR tunning cat-back exhaust system. Car feels and Sounds Great ! Hats off to the guys at IPD for a great product !

I always wanted to do this on my C2S now if i were to get that combo you did IPD/82mil would i need to get my ecu flashed? Or would it be fine stock? I have gt3 mufflers fabspeed cats/headers.
I dont think it is a MUST to hace ecu flash done, as far as i know stock is fine as well . I just happened have already had ecu tune done on my car. I tried todo as much reading as i could on this mod before i did it, and found the best results are if you have exhaust mods done . more air in..more exhaust out.. i think a ecu flash will help with adding more fuel to equation. i think if you did this mod with stock ecu you will still find great performance aswell as sounds fantastic..i will update in a couple days after i get to drive my car a bit more incase takes a bit for it to fully adjust to more air
