Replacement of amber side marker lights

I would like to replace the front side amber marker lights with the european clear side marker lights. What is involved for removal and replace? Ebay has oem sets for $50.00. Thank you.

There is no special tool needed. If you can change a light bulb, you can do this. Go to Suncoastparts.com. Under the lighting section for the 997, click on the clear side markers and there is the installation guide. Click on that and it will give you step by step. Easy.

Getting a PPI done on Monday/Tuesday. If all comes back good, I will be driving my 05 C2S home Tuesday afternoon!!

This is the first thing I want to do.

Pelican has them for $19 each.

Then Hoen has the lamps to get rid of the "egg yolk:

Obviously I haven't done this yet. I just read a lot of posts and this is what I came up with.

Would you know which bulb size is needed? This clear bulb would seal the deal for this MOD, imo. Thanks for sharing

It is the W5W.
I just ordered them from Hoen.

Crazy expensive. $47 a pair!

I am sure someone can suggest a place that is less expensive.

If you're willing to invest the extra $$, I would upgrade to the LED side markers.

Except from Suncoast's product image, this is the only color Porsche I would actually have left in the OEM orange markers

clear side marker

Installed the clear side markers today that I purchased from Suncoast Products. I would like to add that their customer service is excellent!
The clear markers are definitely an improvement in looks, especially on a black car.
