I guess i'll introduce myself. New 997 owner.

Hello! I bought a 997 C2 Arctic Silver about a month ago. I've been a car enthusiast ever since i can remember. I've probably had around 20 cars over the years and I am only 29. I've had all different kinds of cars and modded them all. Since i do not have the time, nor do i want to bore you by posting pics of every one of my previous cars, I'll just post a pic of my most recent car which was an E46 M3:

Sold the M3 to a local a couple of months ago and decided to search for a PCar. Never had one before so Porsche is new to me. After weeks of researching these cars i pulled the trigger on a Arctic Silver 997 C2. Anyone that knows me, knows how much i HATE silver cars. But i got a pretty good deal so, whatever.

How she looked the day i picked her up:

Clean, nice and stock but i always feel the need to make it "my own" AKA be the opposite of responsible and spend all the money i can afford on the car.

So fast forward one month:

My next mod will be a GT3 rear bumper. I am currently researching inexpensive center exhaust options, which seem non-existant. I've heard of people using their stock exhaust by re-routing the exit to the center but i cant find any pictures or info on it. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Sorry for the long post. Hope you enjoyed the pics.

Thanks!

Welcome ! I am a new porsche owner as well. Just purchased my first porsche last week. A 2011 Carrera S. I like it stock but am tempted to do something with the exhaust. Haven't decided yet. I've heard there's a shop called sharkwerks near me that does good exhaust. I guess it's something to look into.

Haha. I was actually going to go with red wheels on the M3 but i sold it right before i got around to doing it.

Performance wise, i'm not sure which one i like better yet. The M3 was an awesome machine. It is neck and neck. I think the M3 has slightly better handling but it might only be because i don't have "real" suspension on the 997 yet. It is sitting on lowering springs not true coilovers right now. The M3 was definetly "roomy-er". The 997 is so small inside and the backseats are useless. But as far as a speed they are very close. I underestimated the power of a base 911. Very nice. And the 911 definetly turns more heads in the streets than the M3.

Nice car - congrats!
I too am finally a Porsche owner (been a 911 fan since I was a little kid, I'll be 51 next month) and I'm looking at some upgrades for my C2S and can't wait to get her out on the track.

Congrats on the new toys! You and I have the same taste for red ascent! I was very very close to do the GT3 rear bumper but decided to go another route. But I did find a photo from someone rerouting the stock exhaust to the centre:

Good luck with the mod!
