BAD ASH is infamous around these parts

There is something about a porsche that I think is uncomparable. For example, a Corvette and a Viper make a good comparison. Likewise, an AMV8 and a Jaguar XKR. Or an M5 and an E55. Or an M3 and an S4. A porsche is just different. You can't compare P's to Ferraris or Lambos either. Its not about performance numbers or statistics. Its about the entire essence of the automobile and the "drive."
Beautiful words man, that is so well put.

I think that AM makes the most beautiful cars out today. I really like the V8, stunning car. I cannot compare two cars that are not out yet but I'll tell you what happened to me with the DB9.

I have a TT and ordered a DB9 to replace it. When the DB9 was in production I got to drive a regular production version of the car at a dealer. It was a new car with 100 miles on it. I was impressed with the car and was ready to buy it. It was not as fast as my TT but for a street car, who cares? During the drive the sales guy clicked the button to have the Nav screen come up. It came up 1/2 way and stopped. In addition, on a rough road, the defroster vent that runs along the base of the windshield popped out and started rattling around on the dash. I can take a cut in performance for a car that is stunning to look at. I cannot take poor quality...

Good luck.

Agreed. AM's are beautiful when new, but depreciate like rocks and wear as poorly as a corvette.

No doubt the AM v8 is a beautiful car. But can it match the handling and performance of a 997S (not to mention the King)?
