I'd be interesting to know, the wiring to the headlamp would have to be there in order to know you are turning a corner, who knows if it's there, why not just plug them in and see what happens?
somewhere here or on 9planet was such tries. if just plug-n-code this headlights will work but no adaptive and one error on dashboard. to make whem work needs some extra units and wiring-wiring-wiring.

It's 100% about the look, my 2005's are yellowing and I have a brand new set of adaptives in my closet. The rest of my car is a MK2 facelift and this is the missing piece
Reach out to Shane at Del Rey Customs. He has LED headlight retrofits for the 997. The process of upgrading your headlights to adaptive ones is probably similar. Perhaps he knows what's involved?

If you are doing just for the looks then you won't regret it. The small eyelets are only on when you use the high-beam so you won't miss it. I don't think you'll be able to make it adaptive (swivel), the ECU on 997.1 is different than 997.2
Curious as to why you want to attempt this and risk screwing a lot of other things up. I have them OE and can hardly tell when they operate.
I have them OEM and can tell very well when they work - when driving slow in a dark neighborhood, around right angle corners at intersections. Watch where the notch in the headlight pattern projects relative to the centerpoint of your hood. Without adaptive lights, they would stay relatively fixed with respect to the car's centerpoint. In my case, making a 15-20mph left turn in the dark, I can clearly see that after the turn as I start to straighten out the notch moves from the left of the car back toward the centerpoint - the lights were aimed leftward in the left turn, providing more illumination of the area I was turning in to.
That said, adding them to a car after he fact, in a Porsche, is a very difficult proposition because the adaptive part is driven by the steering wheel angle, which means all of that additional signaling from the dash/computer to the headlights that isn't there on non-adaptive lights.
