nice post. i'm torn between this and the 4-post lift. does this MD-6XP allow for an easy oil change? it seems like the center is somewhat blocked...

I think I have the garage space for a 2 post or 4 post lift. If you do have the space, the price is right AND the unit is safe, get the post model. It will give you more access to the underbody.

I have the Snap-On branded Canadian made unit. I love it but I am sure I would love a 2- or 4-post model.

Yes oil changes are easy peasy..I just did the plugs/coils a few weekends ago (thread over in the 997 turbo section) and dropped the engine about 1.5 inches no problem using this lift and another jack. If I was doing some work that required access to the front (I.e. Front diff.) I'd just back the car in so as to have full access.. The only part that's really restricted would be right in the middle..

Having said all that, a 4 post would be the best solution but not practical in my case..

stavros is on a distinguished road
As I'm just a few days away from removing my front bumper to clean and install radiator grills, this is perfect timing and you answered my question about fitment on reinstall. That was my largest worry.
