997 TT in the GCC
997 TT in the GCC
Guys,
Anybody have a confirmed launch date for the 997 TT in the Gulf?
Rumors are the car will be launched at Geneva in March, but dealers I've spoken to have told me the car will either be sold in May, September, or even December 06! I've got my name down on a "waiting list", but that means nothing really until an order is placed. Now if you have any info, I'd appreciate it, as I need to get one ASAP!!!

msindi,
I also supposedly have either the #1 or #2 spot here in Kuwait. But I have to say it, after seeing the Gallardo Spyder at Frankfurt in that mother of pearl exterior with that charcoal interior with MOP piping, it just took my breath away!
However, I was driving my cousins 2005 996 TT last night, which only has a few mods on it, and I raced my friends 360 F1 and another friends 355, it just blew them away! Its a nice daily driver with lots of power waiting to be unleashed with just a few mods. For once I'd like to have a car which I keep for more than 10 months!
Either that, or I'm going to go for the new Viper Coupe
I miss my GTS
Nothing like raw power! 500 hp, no traction, no ESP, no PSM, and not comfortable at all! Now thats fun

RamSRT10, my guess that it would take a while before the TT hits the street over here.. I think and don't flame me please. for the money I would personally get the AMV8.. I went to IAA Motor show and I sat in that car and I have to say the car is absolutly magnificent.. If you know how to drive a stick and can't wait for a car then get an order in today..
gdctus997 if you know the places then you might be able to strech your cars legs.. I personally got upto 250km/h in my Diablo but ofcources that's when no one is looking and late at night because really the roads are really really jamed over here..
msindi, hey bro. I have sent you a PM but got no reply from you I was wondring if you got what you are looking for your Gallardo..

gdctus 997,
Speed limits in the Gulf (Kuwait, KSA, Bahrain, Dubai, Qatar, Oman) tend to be similar to those in the states, where the maximum is around 80mph (120 kmh).
However, we've got really nice wide highways that allow us to floor it every now and then, if you stay clear of the speed cameras and radar guns. Last night I was racing a 360 and a 355 together on a 3 lane road in between 2 residential areas, and we got it up to around 120 mph. It was late at night, so the roads were clear
When I was studying in the States, I was only able to get my Viper GTS upto 150mph once, while driving back to Boston from NY. The most I was usually doing every now and then was around 100mph. So driving is a lot more fun down here
