Intake manifold 3.6 vs 3.8?

Hi guys, i hope someone knows enough tech data to help me out.

Im looking in to various upgrades and came across a 3.8 intake manifold for a very good price.

So im wondering if there is any differences in 3.8 manifold vs the 3.6. Would there be any advantage in air flow if i swapped mine to a 3.8?

Reason im asking is because I'm thinking of getting 82mm TB and 82mm Plenum and i'm not sure if 3.6 manifold would even benefit from that upgrade. Perhaps if i combined it with 3.8 intake manifold it would provide a much better airflow to cylinders?

BTW mine is 06 Carrera4

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

The 997.1 intake manifold is the same for 3.6L & 3.8L part number 997.110.115.03
The X51 option uses a different one part number 997.110.115.40

Stepping up to the 82mm aftermarket plenum requires an OEM GT3 82mm throttle body to mate with it. This 82mm combo TB/plenum works with either the 3.6L/3.8L intake or the X51 intake.

If you are looking to upgrade your intake manifold, go with the X51 version.

Ok that's good to know. Thank you very much.

Also is there much difference in going up to 82mm?
Based on what I can find its about 5hp and 6tq or so extra.
I'm not sure if its worth the extra money.

Thank you!
