Agreed, but I ended up ordering with SC after much serious thought.

 

Someone needs to come up with a concealed chrono option for the dash!

 

PAG should offer the sport package without the chrono. Who needs a $920. stopwatch?

 

or have it fold away like we thought it was going to!!!!!!

I wish Porsche would add a "sportier" steering wheel to the 997S, GT3 and 997TT. I am not really feeling this one. Looks like it belongs in a Cayenne.

 

Watch for the dash wart to vanish next year....too many complaints.

We worked on a dash-wart-plug, but the leather just won't hold up over time.

 

Whew, I thought DJ wasn't going to post a 997 pic today. I was starting to sweat there for a minute I see we've moved on to interior shots now.

 

I think I'm the only person who likes the stopwatch.

 

I like my dash wart. It adds character.

 

It even swivels! I think it looks fine but it would have been nice if it at least doubled as a clock.

I'm still puzzled by the multifunction steering wheel though. 2 buttons and a depressable thumbwheel on the left and right side. The only thing it does is adjust volume and mute (left thumbwheel) and selects the display on the PCM system (button under it). You would think that the right thumbwheel would let you scroll on the actual PCM display to change tracks, channels, etc but it doesn't. You can't even change tracks on the damn CD using the multifunction wheel. There are 3 buttons and one thumbwheel that don't do **** unless you have the integrated phone. What good is that in a cab anyways? A hands free speakerphone would never work on a cab.

 

I think the Chrono looks cool. I love the way it makes the car look more sporty
