Wide bodies looks nice on 964's, 993's, etc but looks weird on 997's. 997's are already fat pigs, why do you want to make it even fatter?

I think I saw that car yesterday on my commute. It took up a lane and a half and was escorted by flagged pick-up trucks with "wide load" stickers.

Those just look like fat fender flares. Not my cup of tea.

I think it's cool. I like those front flares better than others I've seen too.

Bet it's a beast.

I guess it's acceptable if the car is a dedicated race car but for mixed street and track use...why mess with perfection?

It was 997.1 GT3 convert to 997.2 wide body for Sema Show. It was listed for sale on here a month ago. I think it was sold for $120k (ish). I love it but worry about future issues and repair, look like you gonna need a specialize shop to fix these thing.

Unless you plan on somehow making a ton more horsepower, I'm not sure what a super wide body like that will do for you. You'll get a ton more understeer as the rear massively overpowers the front.

That being said I do like big butts on the 911 :-)
