HELP! Oil Temp. Gauge Faulty

Ok. I did my required search before posting. Others had the problem but I found no real solution.

Coming into work today I get the "oil temp. gauge faulty" warning and the needle of the gauge is lying at 150. anyone know how to fix this? Thanks in advance!

I think I had this before. It was either the temp or pressure gauge. It ended up being a loose connection in the engine bay. I must have bumped it when putting in my air box. Pull off the air box and just check every connection you can reach. It hasn't resurfaced so that had to be it.

I would check the sensor and connection first (as recommended above). Check this article for a guide of where the sensor might be.

thanks so much. I drove in this morning and the gauge was working again. don't know what that was about. maybe a loose connection? i'll keep this as reference in case it happens again.
