Matching interior stitching color

Hi, I'm about to upgrade my steering wheel, shift **** with boot & handbrake handle to carbon fiber. See attached photos. I have the option to customize the stitching color to any color I want. Since I have red seat belts, calipers and red Carrera S logo on the side of my doors, I'm thinking of going with red stitchings both on the steering wheel & shift boot to tie it in with the other reds on my car. My only delima is it wouldn't match the white stitching on my seats.

I welcome any comments and feedbacks, good or bad.

I don't think it would look bad, but with white stitching everywhere else, I would stick with white.

It's possible to use a dye marker to change the color of your stitching. Be sure its dye and not a sharpie or other type of marker.

Here's a 996 Turbo done in red, although the process was different: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...stitching.html

Here's a corvette done in yellow: http://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/...ever-imho.html

I went that route with yellow. IMO, it looks great. I've since done the e-brake in alcantara with yellow stitching. The lack of yellow stitching throughout doesn't really make much difference. The pieces with the deviated color just look better. I have a few miscellaneous yellow-trimmed pieces add to the overall effect. I would expect the effect with red to be similar. (Sorry about the picture quality.)

Incidentally, I ordered my wheel from DCT, and was very pleased with the quality, service, and speed.

+1 on keeping the interior consistent . . . keep the stitching white. I think it would make your interior job look more professional rather than a hodge-podge of bits thrown together. You want to give the impression everything has a purpose and looks like they were meant to go together. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks all for your input. I've decided to go with white. I thought mixing colors would make it look incomplete and tacky.
