VR Tuning vs. Softronics
VR Tuning vs. Softronics
Both of these companies seem to be running aggressive Black Friday sales for their ECU flashes. I know that they were partners until earlier this year. I've heard good things about Softronics. Has anyone gotten the software from VR (associated with Vivid Racing) since the split? Are you aware of any advantages one has over the other.
Thanks. Helpful feedback.
Something tells me that the two are more similar than they are different. I pulled the trigger on the VR Tuned version yesterday. Although I don't have anything to compare it to either, I'll report my experiences once installed. I am stoked!
Dumb question: I don't own a PC (Apple household), and the software installation requires Windows. Both VR and Softronics require this. I may just try to borrow a PC, but is there an easy way to boot up a Mac Airbook to be able to do this? I want to hit the ground running.

I would just give Dan @ vivid a call. He's very helpful in the process. He remotely logged into my computer and did the installation for me.

Thanks. That is now my plan.
TCZ, I gotta tell you, man, you bought well. Yours also had the spacers I ended up getting. What other little treasures did yours come with? Plenum? High flow cats?! I know that a $1,000 tune is worth approximately $0 at resale, but whoever ends up with it undoubtedly has a benefit. I wish my seller had been more mod-centric.
Screw it. I'm enjoying it NOW. If I start hoping for some cost recovery down the road, I'm only headed for disappointment. Today, though, I'm having a blast.

Anytime, glad I could help. I decided my kids had plenty of shoes too! With that said, they love riding in the back of the Turbo, so we all won (although Mama gets scared)!

. No exhaust mods but the car does have the PSE option.
