NAVIGATION/BLUETOOTH/SAT for 997

I have looked on here and have not found any good info - If anyone has any - please advise (I currently have 2008 c4s with bose)

1. I don't have nav/bluetooth/sat and would like to install an excellent one!

2. USE A NEWER VERSION OF PCM (3)?

3. AFTERMARKET? (EASY ? )

4. wait till i buy a newer one with nav/etc installed already

Upgrade to PCM3 is not possible.

You can go with aftermarket head unit which is much better than stock. To retain the Bose kit you will need a special interface which runs around 600 US$. Or you rip out the bose amp and run new wires to the speakers and hook it up to aftermarket head unit.

DelRay has done lots of conversions. Give them a call.

Regards,

CF

Aftermarket

I went Alpine touchscreen DVD / SAT / Ipod / bluetooth / NAV aftermarket with a double din surround that matches the interior trim. Looks stock. Find a good local shop in a major city since most dealers won't touch aftermarket. I drove 2 hours to Atlanta to have it done but the results were perfect.

It is possible to add PCM 2.1 or even PCM 3.0. There is a thread here about somebody who added 3.0 to a 997.1. It's expensive, but it obviously looks OE. Aftermarket will give you the most bang for the buck, but you'll give up the OEM look. I've had good luck with Kenwood systems in the past.

Check out Dynavin.
I have one in my Cayenne 957 and it's awesome.
No wire cutting just plug and play.
They have a new model out for the 997.1 cars and I'm looking into it also.
