difference between 2011 and 2012 GTS?
Hello,
About the pull the trigger on a 2011 GTS but saw couple of 2012 with similar options...obviously it is priced a little higher but are there any differences?
Thanks!

I just bought a 2011 GTS two weeks ago and I LOVE mine. I have no buyers remorse whatsoever. It is best money I have spent on anything for long, long time. I had a 2007 911, and upgraded to this car.
To me, the GTS is the sweet spot for 911's. It is ridiculously fast, but still has reliability and does not ride like a stripped down race car. The seats are comfortable and car feels great driving around town (though I would not want to drive cross country in the car). I get compliments on the car everywhere I go.
I love this car.
Go for it!! You only live once, and you aren't getting any younger .

The 997.2 GTS is a sweet ride and one of the best 997.2 models. But for the love of god, do not get the rear fixed aero spoiler.

Get the GT3-RS wing instead

Get the color you want, the options you want, and any other configurations that YOU like. Don't let any knuckleheads tell you what not to get (unless they are buying the car for you).
You won't regret it.

Amazing looking GTS. The lines are beautiful and it doesn't have any odd looking front or rear spoilers to distract from the classic lines! Well done!

I love the silver wheels on your dark blue GTS, at least I think it is dark blue. I prefer the clean look also with no wings.

Wow, your GTS is amazing looking. Very clean look. Congrats and great choice!
Did you test drive a 997.2 Carrera S? Would be interesting to hear your opinion on driving difference between Carrera S and your GTS

I purchased the GTS new when the 991's JUST starting rolling into the showrooms. I test drove a 991S (PDK) and the GTS. The 991 is an amazing car and more refined. I fell in love with the more mechanical feel of the GTS. This is not my primary driver. I'll have the car 3 years in March and only have 5400 miles on it. I wanted to drive the car and work to drive it a bit and the GTS fit the bill. I'm glad I got the 6 speed (for the same reasons above).
Below is the list of options:
-Dark Blue Metallic
-Black Full Leather
-A-Pillar Leather Interior Pkg
-Adaptive Sport Seats
-Sports Suspension (one of the reasons a choose a coupe and a GTS. Can't get this lowered suspension with the verts and they sit noticeably higher)
-Heated Seats
-Wheels painted silver
-Bi-Xenon
-Sport Chrono Plus
-Ext Navigation
-BOSE
-Sirius
-Lower Rear Panel Painted Exterior Color
-Side Skirts Painted Exterior Color
-Ignition Lock surround leather
-Switch panel end trim leather
-Illuminated Door Sills with GTS logo
-Spoiler Lip Painted Exterior Color
-Clear Taillights

911ist inquiry for feedback so members gave it. Calling people knuckleheads seems a bit childish, especially for your age. Take it easy man, don't let it get to you...happy new year
