I agree with you variable.. Why bother buying a Porsche if it dont say Gt2 or Gt3 or Turbo on the back.. For the same money go and buy the SL500!!
I have had 5 new Porsches in the past 4 years-- Started with the coupe in 01. Got my first ride in a Turbo in 01 and never looked back. Since then there have been 4 new turbos.
My feelings are that a Porsche is only a Porsche only if it says one of those three things on the back!!

Wouldn't drive that if you payed me IMHO. I'll take any p-car with a p-badge on the hood IMHO. no matter how fast it is. a 914 for g-ds sake. Drove my friends tt last night. Although it was far and away faster than my 997S it was not nearly as enjoyable. Put all the numbers aside. The 997S is a dream machine of which Mercedes(chrysler) could never dream of building. I am not simply blowing hot air up Porsches a#$. There is something special about this 997S that will not fade away with the arrival of the GT3 or the turbo. In addition, I can seriously feel the difference between the AWD of the turbo and the RWD of the 997S. Not a fan of the AWD. To each his own.

How could ANYONE here call me a newbee!! As far as driving is concerned, the 05 TT S (which is my car) will run circles around ANY naturally asperated Porsche!!
The whole driving experience the Turbo gives you is unlike anything else!!
I am just waiting for the 997TT to **** all over all of your 997s!!

You are actually the type of Porsche owner that people hate cocky! I agree the 911 turbos are fast I've driven them before. but no need for your know it all and i can buy it all attitude in this forum. I'm sure youre attitude is not like this on the cgt,tt,gt2 side of the forum.

I dont mean to offend anyone here, but the performance a regular Carrera gives you dont excite me!! When a Corvette will run circles around a Porsche,that tells me its time to man the **** up!! And by trhe way, My TTS is just a temporary car before I get my 997TT!!
