Yup. That was the exact reason some guy asked the Michelin tire engineer about the tires & the whole "N" rating thing because he noticed all the new cars were coming with Pirellis. He made it sound like they were "probably" going to do it, but oh well.....I like the tires so, all is good for me.

You drove 105 in "heavy rain"? Dude, I grew up in Portland, Oregon, where it rains constantly, and you must have a death wish. Yikes.

That was 10 seconds passing getting out of the cluttering traffic...that was a fun trip 275 miles in the rain. Maybe the speedometer was few miles off

It was risky...not bragging about it though. To me the MPSS is one badass tires.

Been there, done that. Tires make a HUGE difference in rain, ice, snow ... not here in Northern Cali where it's rarely below 40 and doesn't often exceed 90.

Have to admit, other than going to Porsche Palooza last Nov. my car is point A to point A. I've been caught in the very beginning of some heavy rain once, but not long enough to have standing water. So no idea how these tires (or the old PS2) react. That said, with the shallow tread depth on the PS2 I'm guessing you could see the rear end passing you in the side mirror when things get really wet! I am glad to hear these will perform better should the need arise.
