Talking 997.2 PCM3 Sirius Integration Success

Just putting up this post for all the people who like myself have been looking for a while to integrate Sirius into their 997.2

I came across a old post stating that NavTV still does in fact make a kit but it doesn't sell it on the site, since they need to verify your radio is compatible.

I called Tony @ NavTV and he confirmed that my car does in fact support it.

997.2 NAV/BOSE/Bluetooth/iPod

So i received the kit which included the Sirius tuner from Sirius , the PCM3 Filter and Sat Radio Interface as well as a Signal sensing kit that acts as a switch to power down the kit when car is off.

Integration is utter perfection.... looks 100% factory and the sound is substantially better then FM and to my ear sounds better then my iPod setup did.

As for the install , my buddies shop, modified the harness from NavTV so that nothing from the factory harness would be modified and also installed it for me.
Install was relatively straight forward, only hard part was getting everything to fit behind the PCM3.

Seriously so Happy with this set up.

What are the specific requirements? For example, do you have to have NAV or is the rest of your list sufficient?

I don't think NAV has anything to do with this mod... when I contacted Tony he was able to verify if my PCM would be compatible based on a photo I took of the configuration screen.

My guess is certain PCMs have the correct software and some simply do not.

BTW I have had this now installed close to a month... its perfect. Still can't believe how perfect the integration is.

Thanks for the reply. It would be nice if NAV isn't required since I don't have it. Was the image you sent Tony just the INFO display?

This is the email i got from Tony and the photos I sent over.... I don't think you need nav just a specific hardware version of the PCM3

I need to see a picture of the screen that appears when you press the INFO + SOURCE buttons together.

Well, my versions differ from yours. Now I'm wondering if it turns out that my versions don't work for this upgrade - can I get the software updated? The car is on warranty.
By the way, there was no history available, so I assume the software has never been updated.

I just found the manual... did it say current system when you pressed the buttons?

Here is Tony's email...I would forward those photos to him to confirm, but I bet your good to go.

After pressing info and source together a screen appears with 2 buttons, one of which is labeled current system and the other history. Pressing history gets me a message that says there isn't any. Current system gets me what I posted.

I've sent tony an email - we'll see what he says.

Quick update: Tony is away until Mar 28
