Aftermarket steering wheel

Can a steering wheel with heating function replace a wheel when there was no previous had steering wheel option?
I'm thinking Alcantra or leather /carbon combo but would like to add htg.
Secondly, and I doubt this, but could a multifunction steering wheel replace one where that wasn't option previously?

anything could be done, it just takes more $$. its just a matter of getting the right sensors and programming.

You need to have heated seats to add the heated steering wheel. Multifunction can be added to any car, but requires re-coding by the dealer.

Depending on what you have and what you want, you may also need a new airbag and/or control module. There are some good threads at "the other site" with the details.
