Radio **** removal - How?

I have a '10 997.2 and the radio **** face came off. I purchased a complete new **** from Porsche to replace the original. How does one remove the old know to install the new one? I tried pulling gently to see if it just pulled off but it does not (apparently). Any help would be appreciated as my wife is mildly griping about the ****.
Thanks in advance,
Michael

On the 997.1 they just pull off. Look at the back of your new one to see the clips. Use a plastic trim pry bar if needed.

For 997.2, there's a torx screw that needs to be removed. This might help.....

I too suffer from sticky *****....... I have also read cleaning them with rubbing alcohol works. I would rather replace them if the price is right. Thanks for the link.
