I'm a fan as long as it flows with the rest of the car!

pretty sick. what are the wheels in the picture on top? My car is meteor grey and would've never considered gold wheels.....until now. Might be a little over the top, but it's different!

Me neither! It's a polarizing color combo. It's gotta be the right car, the right gray and the right gold. (like the 458 photo above)

Sorry, I just pulled that photo off of a Google search & don't know what kind of wheels they are.

BTW, kudos to forum members here. I came across a "Gold Wheels" thread on another Porsche site and there was a lot of colorful, negative comments posted. Here Ive seen constructive, pro & con opinions about the color combo. Thanks all! This has been a helpful exercise.

One of my favourite colours for wheels but it has to be the right gold color!

Why don't you Plastidip them to see if you like it? Not that difficult to do and easy to remove if you end up not liking it. https://www.dipyourcar.com/colors.html.

Well, I may be the Lone Ranger, but I really like the gold wheels on the Ferrari in the OP's first post. It wakes up that stodgy bland grey quite nicely, and would on a 911 too. I think most of the numerous black, grey, and even white 911s out there could use a bit of contrast to keep from fading into the background...JMO. As for black wheels, I'm the 18-year original owner of a car that came with black wheels...and I've hated them every second. They always look dirty, and even when they're clean they just disappear under the car. Never again...

My previous car that was slate grey. I thought the silver sport wheels looked really good. With that said, I think you would be better off with bronze than gold, since the car has that brownish hue to it in certain lights. I wouldn't do gold.
