997.2 Carrera S or GTS??

Hi, just wanted to get thoughts on these two models for a weekend car.

Either would be a manual shift. RWD.

I did test drive a 991 4GTS with paddles and was impressed. However, cost as well as the smaller body is a better choice for me. The power was more than I need, but would think they are close to each other.

My guess is Porsche made fewer GTS cars than Carrera Ss. So choice might be a factor.

Thanks for your thoughts, Bob.

Best way to educate yourself: use the "search function" GTS and C2S. There is a wealth of info here.

I have both. To go from my specific C2S to my GTS, according to market values, it would be an additional $20k or so for the GTS (GTS is newer). To be honest, it's a toss up. GTS does feel more special, but they drive very similarly, unless you're really "on it." Power is the same for most everyday conditions.; C2S, especially with PDK, is already very fast. GTS does sound better up top, and the extra urge is there, if you look for it. The NB C2S dances, while the WB GTS hunkers down and carves.

I'm selling my 997.2 C2S, btw. PM me here if you're interested.

Thanks. I'm in Orange County. PDK, though. Mint car.

I would go GTS. I sold my C2S 2 years ago to buy a Turbo. When I add an NA Porsche to the garage it will be a GTS more than likely. To me the price difference is worth it for the power and I think it will maintain its value a little better compared to a non GTS IMO.

If you haven't, you should ask the same question on the 991 forum.
