991 headlights for the 997

Just saw these 991 style lights for the 997! Has anyone seen these in person?
They look promising but? How well do they hold up any issues or codes?

Interesting, except the compatibility list is for the 996 (1999-2004) but the title says 997.1 (2005-2008). It always makes me nervous buying from eBay when there are discrepancies in the ad. Who wants to be the pioneer here with arrows in their back?

Why???

Personally I wouldn't swap my OE headlights for cheap, Chinese crap to "improve" the look or performance. My guess is that they don't improve lighting performance and that the quality isn't up to Porsche standards. It's a waste of money, IMHO.

So true on ad discrepancies...but they don't look like they would fit the 996 - very different shape difference between 996 and 997. Maybe they would fit 997.2 also since folks have retrofitted 997.2 lamps into 997.1.

For what's worth, the seller has 100% feedback.

I know my response was a bit harsh, but I just don't see the point. The OE 997 headlights look great. I don't see how this is an improvement...

So they want to sell you the worst part of the 991 (among many bad ones) and you're thinking they would enhance the look of the 997….oh boy!

Personally, I like the DRL ring inside the headlight that lights up.
Would like to see this added on the stock 997 headlights.
