Features and options by year

Is there a website that breaks down all of the standard features, and add on options by each year? After many many years of sitting idle, I think I'm going to finally buy a 911 within the next year. I've made allot of compromises with the misses, and have gotten her two cars now. Its finally my turn, and I think I can justify it. I know for sure I want an S model. Most likely a 2wd. I know I want a coupe. I know I want a manual transmission. I see the price difference between a 2008 and 2009 is roughly $10,000. But since I'm probably one more year out on the purchase, that gap may close. I know the 997.1 and 997.2 have some pretty substantial differences. If money was no object, I would have no question about going newer.

I believe Edmunds.com you can look at a specific year and get the features and options. I don't see a side by side comparison. Maybe this will help you in your search. Good luck.

I remember when I was valuing my old 996 to sell, KBB.com was pretty accurate on available options.

At the end of each Porsche PET catalogue, there is the full list of every available optional extra with associated codes. That may be the most comprehensive list you will find - about 10 pg's long, but not very reader friendly.

I don't know if it is accurate but but Motor Trend has some good info. You can start here and change the year and trim.

Try the Porsche order guides by model and year over on renntech. You might need to become a member to download some of the files:

It might be worth your while to start a thread (or search) must have options for the particular year and model. Many of us on the forum surely can provide you with some great real world feedback.

If I was in the market for a 997.1, This would be the car. All the best options are here and this is a rare car. x51 powerkit (gets you to the 997.2 power range), PSE, sport chrono, pasm, full leather, 6 speed, ectt..
