JBL MS-8 Processor and JL XD600/1 amp mounted in the frunk. They are completely concealed. The MS-8 does active crossover duty and frequency response / timing corrections (using a calibrated mic) for the speakers/cockpit. There's an extra XD600/1 in there that I did not end up using.
13" JL 13TW5v2 shallow sub mounted in a custom MDF/fiberglass enclosure (created by Sound Innovations). The enclosure takes up the factory Bose location and the space above the rear parcel shelf. It uses the factory Bose mounting holes.
Nice set up. Can I ask what the cost was for the system? Specifically for the rear sub? and how does it sound? I live in the Bay Area and may consider doing the same.
Nice work on from the schematic through installation. The effort to perform the upgrade and blend with the existing interior works well. Thanks for sharing
