IDP Plenum+GTC Trottle Body = 37HP increase??
To yield that much of a HP increase, you would need to add a high flow exhaust/headers, tune, GT3 throttle body, Plenum, High flow air box (x51) and a tune. I've been down that road before. With that said, the mods I've listed will get you nearly to the performance of a 997.1 gt3 in terms of speed and acceleration.
Seems really hard to believe that for $1K you are adding that kind of power. I have been looking at this for a while and can't justify it. I have no intention of doing more to my exhaust other than the Fisters that are on it now. The CAI (WAI) is a sound mod only - and potentially can hurt performance. The tune makes sense to me - but again - it simply ties all of the other bits together.
Before I consider this - I'm looking at doing some suspension and driver work.

I have done the mod, and on the seat of pants dyno, the mods woke up the engine from 3k on up. Never went back to the dyno to see the results. 37hp at the wheels is a lot of power to pickup, then again, you can buy 50+hp worth of bolt on's from a few sites that sponsor this board.
Worth the money? Yes. A ecu tune will help out, the bottom end timming will need to advanced, the fuel curve will need to leaned out a little.
If you need more power, buy a GT3.

I have both of these mods on my otherwise stock .1C2S and even though the car feels peppier I doubt I gained 37hp. In my opinion if you just plan on doing these 2 mods alone it's not worth the $$$. But if you plan to go further with cats/exhaust/tune etc then they are a good tie in.

I have C4 with 82mm Plenum and TB along with Evom intake. Will free up exhaust with 200 cell next and a tune.
Does it add a ton of power? No, but i do feel a little more go after 3K and extra sound kicking in after 5K. Engine revs way easier.
Am i hoping to get a ton of power to take on everyone on the road? No. But i enjoy modifying my cars and i managed to get everything on extra cheap side.
So if its something you enjoy, go for it. Last thing you want to do is listen to someone that says just get GTS if you want to go faster. Its not always about going faster, sometimes its about enjoying the car you have just a little more.

Like most things when it comes to tuning there are always going to be a lot of claims. Then again there is also reality and after over 40 years of taking cars apart I have learned a few things one of them being that you need to pay attention to where these supposed gains are made in the cars power band. if you are driver who shifts a 4K and the gains do not come in until 5.5k well you get what I mean. Remember torque not HP matter down low. I have seen so many people swear by their seat of the pants dyno that their car is so much faster after doing a mod (mostly because it sounds meaner) only to find that the car actually made no more or in some cases less power when put on a real dyno. In the end it is your money so do what you think is best with it.
With similar setup I find that torque curve has been lowered. Car pulls harder and revs freer from 3k to maybe 5500. I would not even attempt to guess at whether top end has 5 or 25 more horses. Bottom line for me is that car feels faster over the road and responds better to part throttle. Result: greatly increased smile factor

See what I mean?Don't know about the overall added HP but smile factor is increased, and thats all that counts.

no numbers documented but mine feel like a 40 hp increase. Didn't feel any gain in power until after headers & cats.
Plenum, GT3 TB, x51 intakes, Brombacher headers/200 cell cats.
No tuned.

See what I mean? We've done over 50 of these IPD Plenum installs over the last year or so, and have sold countless others to customers all over the world - most opting for the competition version with the GT3 TB when applicable - and haven't had a single person not be happy with the results. It's not something we'd recommend if they didn't work - our customers would turn right back around and demand for it to be removed and go back to stock if that were the case!!
Every car is going to have slightly different gains, as every car has different engine outputs to begin with.
Increased throttle response, and more midrange/top end pull are definitely there and can be tangibly felt while driving any car equipped with this setup.
Reality check. The plenum works but in conjunction with a full after market system. You should address cats and rest of exhaust exhaust first. Warning: realize that any flash will introduce a different throttle response (ala "sport mode") and will render "seat of the pants" impressions misleading. Taking weight off the wheels is helpful and will add the sport of pothole dodging to your driving routine. Do the flash last only after you have a sense of what is going on.
