Climate control resets at start

Hi all, just got my new 911 turbo. All is working great, but one thing I can't figure out. Every time I start the car, climate control resets to 73 degrees. I set it manually to 70 since 73 is too much. I restart the car and the setting is back to 73

I read through owner's manual to see how to set a new default temperature, but can't find any info on that. What am I missing? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You don't say what year Turbo you have, but on my 2009 C2S there is a setting in the PCM for "A/C Memory", allowing you to save different startup temperatures for each key. You need SC+ for this to work. If you have PCM 3.0 (2009 or later Turbo) it's on page 102 of the PCM manual.

Thanks for a quick reply - the car is from 2008.

Previous owner replaced PCM with Kenwood dnx691hd unit. Is there any other way to reset A/C?

I'm pretty sure that kcheves is correct and that the prior owner had set that option for that key. If you have second key I'd try that and hope that he didn't set the option on that key as well. Beyond that, the dealer may be able to reset the option with PIWIs, and if not, they should be able to do a factory reset on the car and clear all of the prior settings.

+1, i made sure to turn that memory function off before i changed out my PCM for aftermarket.
If you have duramatic pro, i think there is an option in there to turn the memory off as well.

Thanks for the info! I was not aware that the memory is per key, I will try the second key and see if that changes anything.

Durametric Pro is a cool system and might be cheaper than going to a dealership
