Dont worry about the haters. They just have no real perception of beauty. Your car is awesaome, unique, and it will be more valuable over time than most 997s
Remember that while you haven changed rides this is still the 997 Porsche board. I'm guessing if you switch to a BM board you'll sleep better at night Enjoy your car.

Just had the car gone over today with a guy in Mississauga that knows a lot about these cars. He was amazed. The transmission was swapped very recently with a new one before I bought it. It still had all the appropriate stickers from Germany. He said that the previous owner probably never drove it in the rain as it was so clean underneath. He said even the bushings were all fine and the only thing he recommended was changing all the fluids and swapping out the suspension to KW V1. He said to me I should hold on to it for as long as I can. I will take his advice.
Sorry to post this in the 997 forum. I will stop now. Cheers guys and chat to you once again when I get the turbo.
If you've never driven one then you wont understand. It is a blast to drive.
Its def not the prettiest but there is a strong following for this car, you will not have a problem selling it for more than you paid for it. The look can be improved with some mods too...
Holy crap that looks nice! I thought that after the suspension upgrade to find rims in anthracite or gold. Thinking it would go with the black exterior. Is that yours?
No, I wish and I have no idea who owns it but I am in love with Imola Red on that car with that set up. I have no garage space for something like that at the moment. Two daily drivers and my 997.2 (plus all my kids crap) is taking up all my garage space..
I get this car is not for everyone, tons and tons of other better looking cars but very few are this much fun to drive.
Funny there is a thread on Ferrarichat right now about the M roadster, the attitude and opinions of the car are just the opposite of what is mostly on here.

Makes sense. BTW the red roadster, that's Ontario vehicle
The car is sublime and a pleasure to drive. I am loving it more and more each time I get behind the wheel. What a driver's car. So easy to row through the gears, amazing chassis and what a smooth engine.
If the red one is from Ontario, then there are a total of 4 on the road that I know of. There is a chopped up one on autotrader.ca, a blue one that was recently at a Pfaff event, the red one above and my black one. How exclusive can you get.
I've burned through tens of thousands of dollars on lost money in cars. $#!t happens. Try to live and learn from my past mistakes so at least I won't lose as much in the future.
Anyone wanna buy a 315,000-mile 1987 Toyota MR2 with no drivetrain for $15,000?

Enjoy the car. I have a friend with one (S54 version) and the car is just a blast to drive on the street or track (as rare as it is I'd buy something else to track though). It's also polarizing in a love it, hate it way in the looks dept. Always has been. But to drive it! How many who can't stand the look have driven one? It's quite the driver's car offering a tremendous amount of feedback to the driver. Add in a good set of coils and it's going to be that much better. Enjoy it. Keep it.
I might have missed it but is this the S54 version or the S52? (I think it's the S52). Both have superchargers available for them, the S54 putting down 420WHP and over 500 at the crank while retaining the same engine characteristics (yes, driven that too). These run 8-10k new (less used) and if you find yourself wanting some crazy power, it's easily attainable. The supercharger for the S52 puts out 350 crank which puts it on par with the S54 über rare M Coupe (about 4-5K). The great thing about Z3 M Coupe is just how wide you can go in the rear with tires to let you put down that power.
I have an '11 997.2 Turbo S in the garage as well as the Z3M's successor the Z4M. They're very different cars but I'd never say one is "better". Different. But both eminently enjoyable in the own ways. I can drive them back to back and find the flaws and joys in both. I've owned a lot of cars--what's important to me isn't brand or price tag or "better" it's the experience. Sounds like you've found a car that provides a connection for you and a great experience. Enjoy!

Clown shoes go for over $30k? Yikes! Well I hope you enjoy her and are able to break even or even make $$ in two years; I'm fonder of the M roadsters personally but they're both great little cars!
