My new-to-me 997S!

I certainly recognize the palm trees! Wow, you drove 1300 miles in a 911? That's crazy! I drove 500 miles round trip from VA to NJ and back and my knees were jello! I guess I'm old & outta shape Was Terry Weeks your sales guy?

Very well done! Looks great, very tasteful mods/additions, very similar to mine. Would love to see some side shots, I'm thinking of adding the aero front bumper with Getty ducktail as well.

Thanks! I only have this quick phone pic right now. The black lip is lost in the pic, painting it white would give the illusion that the front is lower, but I don't like the monochromatic look. The aerokit bumper changes the shape of the nose. From the side- the nose & lip protrude forward and the lip is horizontal to the ground. The oem bumper actually recesses inward at the lip and the lip is angled upward from the ground- a less aggressive visual stance:

Thanks for the photos. It looks fantastic. Aggressive but not overly done.

I agree regarding the front lip. I'd leave it black as well to provide some contrast. Definitely contemplating going this route as well...

You have one nice 997!

I have a family friend who owns a small body shop in Shirlington- Danny's Auto Body & Repair. I am moderately **** retentive and his work is good enuff for me. He takes the time to properly prep, sand, refinish, etc. and there are no drips or orange peel. He has the OEM paint code chart & adds custom tint, flex additive, etc. While he was a little apprehensive about working on the Porsche, he is also a mechanic, so he figured how to dismantle everything without issue. Admittedly, I was more concerned w. getting it done expeditiously and at a reasonable price. If money were no object, a place like Wagon Werk or DVN would be top notch, but it turned out great, there really was no need to spend the extra time & money! He did everything in two days without rushing and the price was very reasonable. That said, I am very pleased w. Danny's work.

No, my sales guy is gone. I stop in every year when in Ft Meyers on vacation just to look around.

Beautiful. The perspective of that picture with the button stuck to your finger makes it look like a giant finger poking the center console.

The weekend could not come soon enuff, I finally had time to finish her up to my specs. I would say, she is 99% done for now. The only things left to do would be to go back and re-tweak a few minor things, like find black floor mats for the rear, I already have them for the front. I like the contrast and how they tie everything else together

I'll also be ordering another set of door sill overlays for the outer sills. Happy to say that these overlays made by a company called Design 9 are the bomb, and the best $20 spent on this 911 so far!!! So easy to install and they look perfect!

I received my custom steering wheel from Ledermans in Latvia. I chose to go w. black alcantara to match the existing roof liner and of course, to break up the sea of tan. I went w. matching black stitching, just in case I ever transfer or sell this wheel, it will work w. any interior. I kinda like the contrast of the tan airbag module. I installed the GT3 alcantara **** & boot. The boot had grey stitching, so I dyed it w. fabric marker to match the steering wheel detail. I would like to source an alcantara e brake lever eventually... For know the contrasting **** & e brake complements the contrasting components of the steering wheel, so it's all good!

I managed to scrape the bottom of my brand new aero lip on a very minor dip. So I found this cool CF trim at the auto parts store- cheap, expendable, replaceable protection to the lip. Looks great & matches the door sill overlay.

As with all 997's, there are minor nicks here & there to the painted interior trim pieces. The two that my eyes focused on the most were the "banana" shaped trim under the e brake pull and the trim b/w the cubby compartment & shift boot. So I sucked it up and plopped a Benjamin on these two pieces :surr:

Looks like the door sill overlays fall a bit short of covering the entire sill, is that right? It looks really good but I would want it to cover end to end. I wonder if you can stretch it with a heat gun.

I really like the lip protection.
