EVO intake and GIAC program...

I'm thinking about doing this for my 997S, any comments? Experiences? here's the pricing I got:

Labor – install EVO air box $68.00
Labor – install GIAC stage 1 ECU flash download $85.00
EVO High Flow Air box $595.00
GIAC stage 1 ECU flash down load $1095.00

This is from Max RPM here in WA state. If anyone knows a better place to goto, please let me know!

Hi Kevin that seems right Done plenty of them here and if you have somewhere local to do it, you won't need to send your ECU out and have any downtime.

No worries Kevin... might think about doin an exhaust and some headers. The headers on the 3.8L are pretty funky looking and there's certainly some headroom for a bit of power with a set and an exhaust too...

Max RPM is a good shop. Alex is a stand up guy and does all my work.

I had the EVO intake and GIAC chip on my 996 before I added a Supercharger. I loved it and really felt and heard the difference. I think it is a good upgrade that you will notice.

He also included Fabspeed headers, sport cats, Maxflow Sport Mufflers, and Fabspeed Dual Quad Tips. ... but I want to retain the functionality of the sports button interms of controlling the exhaust note.

Will this be possible w/ these aftermarket parts?

Headers, Cats and Tips will not affect the Porsche Sport Exhaust (PSE). If you change the muffler, you will lose the function of the switch.
