Opinions on Hre p43 19" wheels vs others

Been looking at wheels to long, ran across this set that are new in box and less than half price of new but still allot of $ compared to some cheaper rotary forged wheels options on the market.

What are they worth and are they a dated design?

Consider if it s outdated if you can replace ONE if needed?

Personally, I wouldn't pay more than $2,500 for a set, like you said, that style is outdated and doesn't look anything special besides the HRE name.

Kinda old and boring style now, sadly I have the same design but different maker. If I have a choice, I would do something different than everyone else. Don't get me wrong, I have it on my car but I wouldn't do it again.

I think the P43 is one of the best looking wheels that HRE makes.

From a looks standpoint, that is a matter of taste, but keep this in mind. Your wheels and tires are the most critical part of your cars handling. No matter how good your suspension maybe it is the quality and performance of those two things that make everything work. In my opinion not the place to skimp.

Most people wouldn't consider HRE wheels to be "skimping".

The HRE P43 are some of the lightest and best quality forged wheel in the market. Not a dated design by a long shot.
Usually people can't afford to get HRE wheels because they are so expensive and would usually settle for some cheaper cast wheels made in china.

Here are some pictures of P43 on a 997:

They look great in those photos, hard to tell if some of them are 19 or 20"

Only reason I'm shopping are that my current tires are original and are going on 6 years old, allot of tread left with only 7000miles.

I need to do tires or tires and wheels soon.

I like them. They looks like the sport rims but nicer. I don't understand how wheels like those ever get dated?

I would agree, sorry guess I was not that clear in my post, I meant going from a quality wheel like a HRE to something less expensive and not as well made.
